PSA Peugeot Citroën is the car manufacturer of two world-famous brands, Peugeot and Citroën. The Group PSA Peugeot Citroën is in 2014 the second largest European automotive manufacturer and the 9th largest in the world measured by unit production. The main unit of the Research Division involved in VERSATILE are :

  • the Advanced Manufacturing department of PSA, which studies and integrates innovations towards a more competitive production system
  • the Industrial Direction and in particular the Factory of Mulhouse which has recently been designated to be a Pilot Plant for the PSA group.

The Robotic division of PSA has a long experience in the development and integration of complex robotic systems including innovative robotic technologies for industrial applications. Especially, recent researches focused on the implementation of robotics innovation for answering flexibility requirements (Plug and Produce technologies, Intelligent Assist device for workers, Autonomous Guided Vehicles). PSA has also a significant expertise in the field of standardization of robotic systems and as such, participates in several efforts and initiatives aiming to provide guidelines for the integration of complex cognitive and robotic systems.
